Marcia is an accomplished poet with two full-length books and publication in numerous journals and magazines including Ploughshares, Alaska Quarterly, Southern Poetry Review, Prairie Schooner, and Painted Bride Quarterly. Her full-length poetry books are A Crown of Hornets and Miracle with Roasted Hens.

She holds an MFA in poetry from Warren Wilson College, has received four Individual Writer's Grants from Poets & Writers, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She has taught writing privately and with several NYC schools and arts organizations.
